This personal project is a visual sister piece to my Moriana project. The spark for this universe came from Georges Méliès, the French illusionist who essentially invented sci-fi cinema. I wanted to capture that exact energy: the romance of early, tactile special effects mixed with a cold, futuristic edge. It’s an exploration of a space that feels part lunar blueprint, part dreamscape.
To make sure the final pieces didn't feel sterile, the workflow was intentionally messy and tactile before it ever hit the screen.
I began by collecting and creating raw, physical assets, pencil sketches, hand-drawn numbers, and textured graphite rubs. Dust, grain, and physical smudges were scanned in to strip away the "perfect" edge of digital design.
In Photoshop, I layered, masked, and collaged these analog elements together. I wanted to create a sense of physical friction, giving the final digital images the weight and grit of an archival print.
