I created this mixed-media artwork for MAD, a music release by Perdurabo, the solo electronic project of Italian composer and multi-instrumentalist Davide Arneodo. This project was a massive experiment in mixed media, and Photoshop was the hub where all the pieces finally came together. The photography itself was a real challenge to coordinate: we worked with a dancer from Brazil who had to jump backward about 20 times just to capture the right weightless physics. After carefully sifting through the frames to pick the single perfect shot, I brought it into Photoshop to build the cosmic photomontage and dial in the gritty textures. To finish it off, I painted the 'MAD' title completely by hand because I wanted the typography to feel raw and imperfect, making the final artwork a true mix of physical effort and digital editing.

[ THE CONCEPT ]

"Designing for electronic music for the first time was incredibly inspiring. Davide and I clicked instantly on a gritty, mystical style, even hiding cryptic numbers and symbols throughout the artwork to give it a deeper meaning. Collaborating with an artist so entirely on your wavelength made this one of my favorite projects to date."
